Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

February 25, 2015

Heartfelt Thanks ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is another card done with yellow and I must admit that this color is growing on me the more I use it.

The card is a 6" square and I have teamed it with black for a dramatic look.

I have layered parchment over the dark floral card to subdue it a little and it is held in place with eyelets in each corner

For the centrepiece I have used  Labels 42 - Decorative Accents

This set has a plainer Labels 42  to match as well as Labels 42 - Decorative Elements  and these dies will all play nicely together

There are four dies in the pack and number one (#1) is always the smallest  so with that in mind I have cut the #4 from Black and #3 from yellow

I have hand cut the sentiment .., which was free with this months copy of Simply Cards and Papercrafts  magazine ... and layered it on to more of the yellow.

The flowers are pale yellow from Wild Orchid Crafts  and I created a matching box for the card too.

"Yes !!"  the more I look the more I like it

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  9. Hi Christina,
Well, would you believe it...I'm wearing a yellow and black hooded sweatshirt as I type this so of course I'm loving the colours you've chosen for this rather dramatic card.
Oh, on a note regarding yesterday's tutorial...I've managed to find the set of dies for under a tenner so they've gone right to the top of my wish list :). x

  10. Hello Christina, I really like today's card, this looks to be a good value for money set of dies, as you card has used them in different colours to mix with the background paper, which I really like how you have softened by adding parchment. X Ros

  12. I like the black, because you have toned it down with the vellum (parchment) it gives it a different look altogether. Great card Christina.

  15. Good Morning Christina. Oooooooo…. Yeppers, I would say this is definitely a strikingly beautiful card! You totally outdid yourself on this one! You have such a gift of artistry Christina. I love the fact that you like to try new things and aren't afraid to give it a go. Love, Love, Love this card! Hmmmmm…. while you're on a "yellow" theme, I'm wondering what a yellow and gray themed card done with a Christina touch would be like. Just thinking out loud… Thank you for the "Beautiful" start to my day. Enjoy your day fully.
